Romanian indictment sent back to prosecutor.
Judge of the Tate case has sent back the indictment to the prosecutor.

The judge rejected the indictment and returned the case to DIICOT, Romania’s anti-organized crime prosecution unit, on procedural grounds, finding the indictment invalid. Consequently, the case cannot proceed to trial in its current form.
The decision, which had been postponed until January 23, 2025, was ultimately confirmed, formally suspending the proceedings as filed.
Under the ruling, Tate and his brother remain charged but are not subject to a valid indictment, and no trial is currently pending. Prosecutors would be required to initiate a new indictment process should they seek to continue the case.
